Have you ever wondered why the pillars of the Taj Mahal are inclined outwards?
Taj Mahal, a mausoleum in Agra, India, is regarded as one of the wonders of the world. It is flanked by two red sandstone buildings-a mosque and its replica, the Jawab, a building of which the main function is visual balance.
The Taj Mahal’s pillars are inclined outwards. It is built in such a way that if there is an earthquake or if it is moved, it should not collapse the Taj that is placed at the center of the four pillars. Hence the four pillars do not stand straight as they are to fall outside of the main tomb.
